BEIRUT: The Lebanese government has criticized the U.S. demand that Lebanon hand over an alleged Hizbullah hijacker released by Germany last week after serving 19 years in jail for hijacking a U.S. airliner and killing an American passenger. "Originally they [the U.S. government] could have requested that Germany hand him over. Why are they asking us?" Prime Minister Fouad Siniora told reporters Wednesday.
Mohammad Ali Hammadi, 41, from the southern town of Deir Kifa, returned to Lebanon after serving 19 years in a German jail after being sentenced to life imprisonment by a German courting 1987 for his role in the 1985 hijacking of a TWA airliner and the murder of U.S. Navy diver Robert Dean Stethem in Beirut.

Just wack him in Lebanon. Guy needs a dirt nap.
Alleged? Wasn't he found guilty and sentenced?
Ship him here and we can allegedly give him a Tookie.
A small boxcar?.......
Why bother asking. Find him and kill him. Justice served. And if any scum protect him, kill them too.
I see Lebannon is extremely grateful for all the pressure we put on Syria to get out of Lebannon.
General Patton was correct about his description of Arabs.
Do you think Santa will bring me one if I ask nicely?
The outrage continues
We are dealing with Lebanese muslims. I bet the Christian Lebanese would be happy to get rid of him. Hezballah has been killing Christians in Lebanon for years.
Exactly. In Germany's and apparently Lebanon's eyes, there is no need for justice so long as the victim is American... This whole thing is sickening.
(I see Lebannon is extremely grateful for all the pressure we put on Syria to get out of Lebannon.)
You may want to get better information before posting. Lebanese are very grateful for the US. Without the US the Lebanese would never have lost enough fear to demonstrate in the streets and send Syria packing.
While Syria is out, they still have a horrifying power in Lebanon. Since Hariri was assassinated about 14 to 15 others have been also assassinated, the latest one being Gibran Tueni only about a couple of weeks ago. The Lebanese President is still Lahoud, who is a puppet of Syria and who has been implicated by the UN report in the assassination of Hariri.
There is an important struggle going on in Lebanon. Using the same wide brush to to characterize all Lebanese is not fair.
Once all is said and done I hope to see a huge statue of George W Bush in Martyr Square in Beirut.
Exactly !
