COOKE 'BODY' SNATCH (a culture pushed to the brink of mindless savagery by secularism)
NY POST ^ | December 22, 2005 | BRAD HAMILTON

Posted on 12/22/2005 5:14:54 AM PST by Liz

A fiendish team of body snatchers in Brooklyn defiled the body of beloved "Masterpiece Theater" host Alistair Cooke, removing his bones for profit without his family's permission.......the body of the avuncular TV icon, who died in March 2004 at 95, was cremated at New York Mortuary in Spanish Harlem — but not before a pair of heartless harvesters got their hands on him.

Cooke, who hosted the PBS anthology series of British programs from 1971 to 1993, was among dozens of victims whose bodies were sawed up and peddled by funeral director Joseph Nicelli and disgraced dentist Michael Mastromarino, cops said.

The duo are under investigation for allegedly taking out leg and arm bones without permission and selling them to medical firms for reconstructive surgery and other purposes.

Detectives in the Major Case Squad learned about Cooke after combing thousands of records kept by the mortuary on people who donated body parts, sources said. Cops called Cooke's relatives and discovered that the person who supposedly gave authorization for an organ donation did not exist.

The funeral home, located at 2242 First Ave., near 116th Street, was started in 1972. Sources said the home had been shut down, but a rep who answered the phone there last night said the place was open.

Whistleblower Robert Nelms, who unearthed the alleged scandal after he bought the Brooklyn home, was shocked to hear that Cooke was said to be among the victims.....Nelms ....found records that some of the alleged chopping had occurred at their funeral home before they bought it, police sources said.

Detectives investigating the case have exhumed three cadavers and found that bones were missing from each body. The bones were replaced by PVC pipe, cops said. Police plan to dig up as many as 30 bodies, they said.

Oops. Should have pinged you to this post:

......few years ago in Georgia, they found a funeral home director literally stockpiling bodies around his home rather than cremating them....

These individuals in NY and GA should also be investigated for necrophilia------ although some states have legalized this horrific practice (sex with dead bodies).

Friend of mine in the theatre has heard talk about necrophilia being practiced by sexually jaded perverts in the entertainment industry.

Our culture is reverting to mindless savagery, pushed to the brink by the moral relativism of secularists.

Methinks your sense of history is a wee bit truncated: Burke and Hare, bodysnatchers.

You are comparing apples and oranges.

In fact, your link underlines my observations to a tee.

Point One: this is America, founded by Europeans eager to get away from such morally depraved activity. The Founders wrote high-minded moral principles into our founding documents as the way they expected Americans would live in order to forestall depravity.

Point Two: In recent years, we've see the rock-solid principles of the founders being washed away by the ACLU, P'Parenthood, Separation of Church and State groups,in favor of secularism, situation ethics, moral relativism.

Now we are paying the price: the depravity the Founders fled from is resurfacing here.

... this is America, founded by Europeans eager to get away from such morally depraved activity.

And by criminals fleeing justice and the unscrupulous hoping to make a quick buck. America was not and never has been some great utopia attracting only the best and the brightest. Oft times we attracted the dregs of society, too. That's life. The depravity and moral lassitude is the same now as it was then; we simply hang different tags on it or blame something new ("moral relativism" instead of "demon rum" for instance).

JB, please, do me a favor, and post on my thread.

JB6 POSTED ELSEWHERE: "Judeo-Christianity teaches the value of all human life. Socialist humanism teaches the value of the species as a whole, undesirable individuals can be prooned or even whole subspecies."

And don't we all love jb6's tagline: "The Atheist/Pagan mind, a quandary wrapped in egoism and served with a side order of self importance."

One of our most astute FReepers.

" These individuals in NY and GA should also be investigated for necrophilia-"

I am pretty sure they investigated for that here. IIRC, they figure this guy is a little off and was doing it strictly for economic reasons. It was a very weird case but I don't think they ever compounded the sicko factor.

I never heard that about people in the entertainment industry. Pretty disgusting.

One very recent case was the Max Factor heir who drugged numerous women then videotaped himself having sex with them. One professional diagnosed Andrew Luster as having a fascination with necrophilia. Luster is now in jail.

Another recent case occurred in Calif-La La Land----where they found a sicko on top of the body of a deceased 7-year old young girl.

And looking at some of these Dim women---you can understand the syndrome a bit more (snicker).

Thanks for the ping. One little correction:

The Founders wrote high-minded decent, Biblical, absolute moral principles....

There. Precisely correct.

The Founders' high-minded decent, Biblical, absolute moral principles.... around which our Constitution was written as the raison d'etre for a government built upon the rock of freedom, knew from whence they came.

It becomes clearer that straying from those principles endangers our freedoms and our government, and we resort to the savagery of the past, away from the values America, and America alone, holds dear.

Christians have to try harder to protect not only our religious freedoms, but our political freedoms, as well.

Maybe, I'm missing something here? Who would want body parts of a 95 yr. old, cancer ridden man? Should I be looking for them on EBAY?

This kind of con game is completely depraved----the body snatchers don't tell the buyers what they're getting. And the subsequent receivers never know.

Thank you very much. I'm so sick and tired of this humanist anti-life culture that we are getting shoved down our throats, that and the rainbow "culture" of anything goes and child exploitation.

That is why they hate Judeo-Christianity, it reminds them of everything that is wrong with them.

Excellent question! I think we share the same sentiments.

>This doesn't pass the smell test

I agreed with you,
but I think it's true. Reports
are from multiple

newswires and picked up
by lots of outlets, not just
strange New York tabloids:

------------------------------------------------------------------

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The bones of the late British broadcaster Alistair Cooke were stolen by a crime ring that snatched body parts to sell for transplant procedures, according to reports in two New York newspapers on Thursday.

Citing sources close to an investigation by the Brooklyn district attorney's office, the Daily News said Cooke's bones were snatched before his cremation and sold for more than $7,000 to two tissue processing companies.

It quoted Cooke's daughter, Susan, as saying she had learned of the theft last week and was shocked and saddened by it. ...

I'm a tenth generation American and, in doing the research to discover my roots, I found that we, as a nation, are 'de-volving' in spiritual matters.

My ancestors made long buggy trips every Sunday to attend church. And when they died, they made it known that they were Christians, expecting the salvation of Christ. Here's an excerpt from a will written in 1694:

"...and chiefly I bequeath my soul to God who gave it hoping through the merit of my Blessed Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus to obtain perfect forgiveness and Remission of all my sins and as touching such worldly goods as God of his great goodness hath bestowed upon me I do Dispose of the same as followeth, and do commit my body to ye earth from whence it was taken to be Decently buried at ye Discretion of my Exra hereafter named."

A hundred plus years later - in 1842: "In the name of God Amen."

Today, God isn't mentioned in wills...obituaries, perhaps, but not in wills. Where God is mentioned in some obituaries, the individuals writing them have no idea of what they're talking about.

Romans 16:17

I appeal to you, brethren, to take note of those who create dissensions and difficulties, in opposition to the doctrine which you have been taught; avoid them.

As I posted earlier, it irks me that the libs whine about getting at the "motivation" .....but are conspicuously silent if we question their motivation for pushing secular humanism garbage onto the culture.

As you so cogently pointed out----Christians value human life; humanism teaches the value of the species-------and, I would add, that includes the profits to be made from farming out body parts.
