FNC reporter said he was upset and then showed Byrd saying he loved him as a collegue blah blah blah. I couldn't figure out what they were talking about while I was wrapping gifts. Was he personally attacked do you think?

Turned CSPIN on earlier in the day and there was a re-run of Sununu, Schumer, and Leahy babbling on about something or other.

My stomach turns at the very thought of a Republican senator consorting with those two traitorous ba$tard$.

I don't want terrorists in MY front porch, thank you very much.

But you would rather have your government employees making it difficult to leave your front porch.

Curious.

Sen. Stevens said he WAS personnally attacked, said there was one senator who said something to him that he would not accept an apology for. I think I got that right.

Miss Cleo, is that you? Been channeling the FFs, have you...before or after you drank yourself into a stupor?

Jefferson didn't bother with Congress, when he went after the Barbary Pirates.

We didn't really have a government, but Washington used spies against lots of people; especially Benedict Arnold!

If you'd stick with historical fact, instead of your own hallucinations about what the FFs would say or do now, you'd be on firmer footing. And there isn't a thing in any of the FFs's writings, which pertain to what we face today vis-a-vis al Qaeda and the WoT!

Hell, why don't you invent a working time machine and go back to your supposed UTOPIAN AMERICA? Of course, you wouldn't be able to exist back then, but, what the hey...maybe you'd learn your lesson; at last. LOL

But, but, but, I thought that Senator Reid was proud that he 'killed' the Patriot Act last Friday????? What has happened since then? It must have pained these A-holes to stay so long in DC to handle a small problem like the Patriot Act?

He who puts his party politics ahead of our national security, neocrats or rinos, is no friend of mine. However, I still wish them a Merry Christmas and hope that they return with a new direction!!!!!!

Sorry, I have young adult children and a grandchild on the way.

I don't want them to have to live under constant scrutiny.

Are you a mind reader? If so, you aren't good at it.
If there are government employees making it difficult for me to leave my house, they are invisible. What are you going on about, exactly?

I'm not one bit impressed by the Republicans. It shouldn't be just six months and they'll win nothing from me for extending only six months.

That stated,

In the middle of the campaign season? Fine. I look forward to destroying RINO's/DEMOCRATS next year in the elections.

Once the President told the world that a democrat Senator actually bragged about KILLING THE PATRIOT ACT.....the dems were doomed.

Actually heard the soundbite if Traitor Harry making the comment and then his audience applauding.

There have been multiple instances posted where this Act has been misused already. I am quite sure when the RICO Act was passed those who would one day protest against abortion had no problem with that act either. And yet now it is used in ways it was never intended.

Don't worry np. You're safe and warm in your house. The President is getting all the turrists for you. He cares, he really does...I believe in my government, especially considering it's headed by Republicans. Cause we all know the federal government has never extended or misused new power once they have been given it. And Lord knows as a Southerner I should trust anything and everything done by a Republican trying to grasp more power for the Executive Branch right?

I am confused. So they stripped ANWR out of the 6 month extension. What happened to the money for katrina and North East oil subsidies? Did they leave that in?

yeah, it's obvious the Senate was going to let the Patriot Act expire altogether. Nothing will convince me they intended to stick around in town this long. They were forced to do so because the President is making it an issue, our base is furious, and Democrats realize the trap they've opened for themselves.

It gets either gets sent to a physical address, or to the bank, where you have to "call" for it (and get ID'ed yet again).

Yeh, I can see that coming. I'm wondering if the people who think controlling PO Boxholders is key understand how many small towns, especially in the East, don't have mail delivery - everyone has a PO box. When the PO has different people working there, they often don't deliver things that don't have a PO Box number on them (not knowing who everyone is), and many institutions will NOT use the 4-line address formate, where your street address is one line and your PO box is the other. And, sometimes postal employees can just be ornery. 20 years ago (today) my father died. The Postmaster returned many Christmas cards AND sympathy cards, because they only had the street address and not the PO Box. The Postal Service isn't fully involved in the "know where everyone is" effort.

By the time the IslamoNazis would be at your front porch, they would be running this country.

You can talk "BIG", because you know that YOU will never have to face being caught in a terrorist action and so, the hell with any and all would would be, is your motto. You don't give a damn about this country; all you care about is you, you, YOU.
