I have rented a PO box - so what?Did you enjoy providing all the documentation and signing the document giving the USPS permission to seize incoming / outgoing contents without notifying you?
To: billbears
WTF are you talking about?
Are you suggesting Frank Church's CIA reforms were a good thing?

To: elkfersupper
that has nothing to do with the Patriot Act - that's because Norm Mineta is an idiot - something most of us we can agree on.
To: Peach
Kennedy is mad? That means I'm happy :-) No .. it was Senator Stevens .. he came pretty dang close tonight in quitting the Senate over the way he was treated by the many of the Senate

Don't pick on him, he's just defending that God-given and Constitutionally protected right to a convenient PO Box. I think it's in the 17 1/2th Ammendment.

Well, I for one would like to see this Act renewed on a yearly basis only and always having a sunset prevision.
From what I know about the Act, It could one day easily be turned on groups like the NRA, or Gun Owners of America, etc... when the Dems get back in power.

I saw a replay of Stevens on FNC tonight. Tough. No way that bridge to nowhere should be funded.

I am of the mind that we need to catch terrorists who want to kill usI am of the mind that I would rather fight them on my front porch than put up with any more of this intrusive BS.
To: Kay Ludlow
no offense, but there are a lot of things we all used to do with little or no hassle. That all changed after 9-11. If I am inconvenienced a little for my and my family's protection so be it!

No, the president could have done nothing, about this, during the break.

My first thought when I heard this was: What did the Republicans give up for this extension?

You're just envious because you don't have a bridge.

Understanding why the government now requires 2 ID's, what is so difficult about this and why are you complaining?
Every time I have to fly, I am inconvenienced by the searches. I accept that as an inconvenience caused by the war, much as my parents accepted that they couldn't communicate without government approval during WWII.
Compared to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, this seems like a small sacrifice for the war effort.

I was against the bridge also .. but what he said had nothing to do with the bridge
It was about the nastiness of the Senate and the Dems personal attacks on him regarding ANWR
