Only that in the cases that involve U.S. citizens, we need to follow the Constitution and rule of law. I'd agree with that except that Taliban Johnny forfeited that protection when he took up arms against the US. I'd take it one step further, anybody forfeits those rights when they collaborate with the terrorists

indeed, look at the warrantless search of Aldrich Ames home conducted under Clinton. once the citizen has essentally become an agent of a foreign power, the game changes. I saw no uproar over Aldrich Ames rights being violated.

I would agree with you in that case. He was caught on foreign soil with a foreign "military".

And yet he received counsel, a speedy civilian trial (which was averted via plea bargain), and a regular prison sentence.
