Acquitted of murder two years ago but convicted on lesser charges related to the same crime, millionaire Robert Durst has again been arrested, this time because he violated his parole terms by leaving Harris County (TX) and appearing in Galveston County (TX) on 12-16-05 on the property of one of his criminal trial witnesses.
The additional info not found in the HouChron article linked above, as to location in Galveston where witnesses reported seeing Durst, was just supplied as breaking news on KPRC-TV, Houston, 4PM News (CST).
That'll teach one juror to not let a murderer go free.

Cross-dressing millionaire Robert Durst is back in the Harris County jail for allegedly violating his probation. Durst, who beat the rap on a Galveston murder in 2003, was taken into custody again Tuesday afternoon.

Robert Durst has been in and out of custody since his 2003 arrest on a Galveston murder charge.
Sources told 11News Robert Durst was picked up around noon from his Midtown condo.
A memo obtained from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice said a warrant was issued for Durst's arrest after a witness who testified in his trial saw him standing in front of her Galveston home on December 16.
She called police but there was no sign of Durst when officers arrived.
Another person came forward and said they spotted Durst near the woman's home so a warrant was issued.
By being in Galveston, the state says Durst violated the terms of his supervision that restricts his schedule and travel.
The New York real estate heir is supposed to be on mandatory supervision until November of 2006 because of evidence tampering and bail jumping charges that came out of his 2003 murder trial.
Durst was acquitted of murdering his Galveston neighbor during that trial even though he admitted he shot him, cut up his body and tossed it into Galveston Bay.
Defense attornies said he killed Morris Black in self-defense.
Durst was later sent to Pennsylvania to serve time on federal gun charges because of a weapon found in Durst's car after police arrested him for shoplifting in 2001.
At that time, Durst was on the run for failure to appear in court on another murder charge.
After serving time in Pennsylvania, he came back to Harris County to begin serving time here.
With Tuesday's arrest, Durst faces a revocation hearing.
Depending on the outcome, he could be sent to prison, an intermediate sanction facility or be returned to supervision with or without to his release.
Durst is expected to remain in the Harris County jail while he awaits a hearing.
How wonder how much max jail time he can get for parole violation?

Hey, you're doing great! Welcome to FR. No harshness at all intended on my part. Sorry if it came across that way. I just thought that if he's threatening jurors, that should be a very serious crime. Turns out it was a witness, which should also be a serious crime, imo. But apparently all they can get him for is parole violation. Too bad. The guy seems totally psychotic to me.

I couldn't agree more! I don't care how much money the guy's got (but apparently someone at the DA's office or on the parole board look at it differently). The guy's a menace to society.
