Hi, Coop. As requested, here is my post from today's Tony Snow Show thread which I was typing as I was listening to Josh's phone call with Brian Kilmeade:
Josh may well save his leg. He got buckets and buckets of cards and shares them with the rest of the soldiers. He is thanking everyone for them. He says he's going back...for us. *sob*

From another thread, watching FNC's
Fox & Friends:
Josh [Sparling] may well save his leg. He got buckets and buckets of cards and shares them with the rest of the soldiers. He is thanking everyone for them. He says he's going back...for us. *sob*

Also from that thread:
Joshua said he has probably received 8,000 cards. FNS giving out his addy again, so he'll probably get a few thousand more.

I wonder who got Shorty's poster sized picture and SqueezIt's letter and FLuffy's card... I wish I could actually talk to the recipients. They were addressed to Joshua, but I know they could have actually gone to someone else.

Did you include a return address? If so, you may well hear from a recipient. Many patients have requested that folks include them, so they may write back. You might have seen in my report - that's how LandryFan met Mr.& Mrs. Cobb.

Well done!
I'm sure they now know that America isn't all Dean, Murtha, Kerry, Kennedy... and Wolf Blitzer. These vets are the best our nation has to offer!

He was talking about all the cards and gifts he has rec'd ... he had over 8,000 with him .. that his father is helping him give them out to the other soldiers
He said he's be trying to send thank you notes to everyone .. but there are so many that he can't write them all right away and wants to let everyone know how thankful he is.
Brian mentioned that his leg could be saved and Josh said that once he gets better that he is going back
WOW .. what a great man his is .. God Bless him

Brian prefaced the phone call with Josh by saying they were getting lots of emails every day wanting updates on Josh.

I did put my return address on the envelope. After the recent events, I figured that an envelope without one would be suspect! (It should be in any case!)

Having discussed this with MSG Evans, he said for everyone to include a return address on the card or it may not reach Josh or any other recipient (due to security concerns).
