Of course, I can't think of many Mac users still using IE....

The minority of Mac users still browsing with Internet Explorer need to consider moving to another browser very quickly,

Why? Is it going to catch fire and explode?

If you haven't been using "more recent browsing technology such as Apple's Safari." , then you're not interested in changing things, so why do you need to change now?

If you're a Mac user, there's bound to be a browser that you'll find is the right "fit" for you. Here are some popular choices:

For Mac OS X users: Safari is Apple's included web browser. Firefox and Opera are FREE web browsers. There's also Camino, a Mac OS X-only browser based on Mozilla technology.

WaMCom is a Mozilla-based browser for Mac OS 9 (Classic)

OmniWeb, one of the last commercially sold browsers, is a Mac OS X-only alternative.

If you absolutely "need" IE, Mac users will still be able to use IE5 (IE for Mac OS X) (IE for Mac OS 8.1-9.x), and it will probably run under the Rosetta emulation for the forthcoming Macs based on Intel processors. Another alternative is running Internet Explorer via Windows inside Microsoft's Virtual PC.

Far as I can tell, Microtheft hasn't supported the Mac on IE for quite some time. So what's changing? I only use it on a handful of sites that won't work properly without the Kool-Aid browser. For everything else, it's Safari and Firefox.

Meanwhile, the folks who are so vehemently anti-Mac should relax, buy some Apple stock, and get over their issues. I use both systems, and I can see the benefits of both. Deal with it.

Since I upgraded to FF1.5 I am having issues with accessing some pages on eBay with my Mac.

If IE goes away I will only have FF, Safari, Opera, Mozilla, Camino and Netscape.... :(

Apple nerds hate Microsoft. Why would they use IE?

Microsoft Drops Internet Explorer for the Mac... PING!

Of course, no one uses it, so it won't be missed.

If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.

Gee, is Microsoft implying that on December 31, Mac Internet Explorer will implode? I can see the clock ticking down now... 10, 9, 8...

The only time I ever use IE on my Mac is when there are pages that won't load, such as when I needed to link into my work email or some secure websites.

I was messing around with a G-5 at Comp USA the other day, and it had Safari on it, and it seemed like a nice browser.(The Mac was an absolute diamond. I will have one ASAP)

Thanks to many on this site, I'm using Firefox now, and I've been very happy with it.

Any of you remember Cyberdog? I think I had that with OS 8 IIRC :)
