The intention of the US making these assertions to Canada about its military (lack there of) would hopefully shame the majority of Canadians into admitting that the current Canadian military is a paper koala bear, of pitifully small total size and substandard capability in the particular. From that realization, they would have to chose between being the United State's protectorate or acting like a grownup sovereign nation.

Sorry posted to the wrong thread with my last.

Careful, hollywood paramilitary police might read your post, come to your house, and confiscate everything you own in the name of recovering lost copyright revenues.
I've gotten so tired of the pompous pre-movie warnings at the theaters and on the videos I rent, I am motivated to start buying pirated movies just to spite them.
My suggestion to hollywood is that they offer a money-back garantee on the crap they produce. If at the end of the movie I decide I didn't like it, I should get a refund on my movie ticket or video rental fee. Then I could get behind their anti-pirating campaign.

"Whiffle brain"
Wouldnt that also describe the appearance of the brain with 3rd stage syphilis, like Al Capone muttering to himself while fishing in his swimming pool?
Just like many of the Hollywood Elite.

"Hollywood activism is dying....," Not surprising. It used to be that actors and actresses were on the side of America. Now they're not. Eat @#$% and die Hollyweird. You were never necessary (only being good for simple entertainment) but now you're not even relevant anymore.

Hollywood's perceived victory over Joe McCarthy and his blacklisting of suspected subversive communists is history Again, the misunderstanding of history by those in the scribbling profession is appalling.

Hollywood didn't perceive McCarthy as a blacklister? Sure they did. And they didn't perceive how history tends to view McCarthy, rightly or wrongly, as a victory over "McCarthyism"? Sure they did. I guess it's all in how you read the paragraph.
To: WrightOnTarget
McCarthy's only pervue as chair of PSI was communist infiltration of the Federal Government. That's it. He had NOTHING to do with the blacklists, HUAC or anything outside of the federal government.
McCarthy's central question was never answered: Who promoted Irving Peress?
