Question: Lower polls - why.
Pres: My job is to do my job and leave. If people want to play politics with the Patriot Act, it's not in the best interests of the country.
I spoke to the speaker yesterday and he said we had a good cuople of days. Budget passed, Katrina relief passed, supporting troops, etc. We've done a lot.
I'm going to do my job and you can focus on polls.

No matter what you do, or do not do, a certain section of people will be unhappy about it and will voice their opinion about it. That in and of itself is not a reason to act or not to act.
