I hope Karen is in touch with Bush every day. She is at State, not the WH, according to another poster.

the day that the Supremes in a 7-2 decision stopped the algore nonsense.I was taking a shower when my husband told me of the decision.
I cried - right there in the shower. I'll never forget.

The presser was carried by the big three networks as well. I cannot attest to how much they carried but I checked at the start and, in Atlanta at least, it was on ABC, NBC and CBS.

When was the last time, if ever, the President of the US actually went into the house or senate during a session and asked to speak directly to the congressional members? I say, he and Cheney need to show up in the "Tombstone coats" gear and walk in together - oh man, Byrd would pee in his pants at the very sight of that!
To: Howlin
They're on, but you might want to reconsider watching -- Byrd is up. Ewwww... Byrd Droppings.

Since American Terrorist have declared war on America it becomes the Presidential Constitutional Duty to protect American Citizens from foreign and domestic enemies who wish to harm us. Since the Congress authorized the President to conduct this war, as is their obligation, the President follows his obligation.
The original Authority
The Records of the Federal Convention of 1787;
the President is empowered to repel sudden attacks without awaiting congressional action and to make clear that the conduct of war is vested exclusively in the President.

You can also call Rove's office directly by looking him up on the appointee directory at results.gov.

Are you going to seek an investigation into the NSA leak! Please say "you damn bet ya!" Of all the asinine and infuriating developments recently, this is the worst. And then the chick from "America Urban Radio," whatever the ... that is, starts in asking for details on domestic intelligence gathering (my term, not hers) and he has to cut her off, "I'm not going to talk about that!"
What part of "Duh" do the media not understand?
And are any of them NOT traitors?
I DEFINITELY want to know how this NYT "breaking news" came about!

Impressive that he allowed such a long time for a press conference. He needs to do this at least once a month.

Winner! I too am astonished at the questions we know have been already answered by the President many times...
However! W's wonderful straight talk knock-down of these redundant questions allows the American People, the world and his enemies to know without doubt he is the Leader they all wish to be only half as responsible and capable of!!!
This man has had his last straw pulled and he is not going to take it anymore!!! And I am so proud of him...Mr. President...a job that is only learned ON the JOB! He can now take names and chew them up with aplomb

Be honest, wouldn't you pay GOOD MONEY to see him whack on e of those fools with a ruler? :-) At work. Just now reading through the thread. Just chiming in to say:
"President Bush whacking David Gregory with a ruler.....
...........Priceless."
To: Arizona Carolyn; All
If anybody wants to make a phone call to a guy who will get your views to Bush faster than email, call Rove's office (listed at the appointee directory at results.gov):
202-456-2369
Tell Rove (or his assistant, whoever answers) to tell Bush way to go and to pass it on.

The MSM would not know how to react if he did such a thing. I am all for it and I would bet most of America is too. I would go so far as to say I would like to see this once a week!
To: Wasanother
How is he trying to redefine powers? Take them away, I'm sure.
