BOINC needs some serious changes to their interface. I know trained IT people who won't use it because it's so awkward.
Bump.
Ok stupid question here, I've dumped Seti and am trying to signup to folding. I need to know the URL to copy and paste to BOINC. Do you know what URL I should enter?
Ping to new Folding @ Home thread.
Please contact Texas Booster or soccer_maniac if you want on or off this list.
What kind of timeframe is typical for completing a workunit?
Arrrgh! If only it were a BOINC project.
I could have tossed 70+ systems into the pool.
my team 36837 isnt doing too bad either http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=teampage&teamnum=36837
I think you do a lot better with "recruiting" here on FR if you'd explain what it is your doing. I don't have a clue other than you're looking for computers to help you do something. Security issues are a concern though.
I signed up, will give it a try. Got a 500000 step work unit to run on my dual processor G4, so we'lll see how that goes. Can't run it if it slows down my work during the week, but I'll see how it runs tonight.
Just added one machine to the team.
Will all of the workunits I've already gotten go to the team if and when I assimilate?
Anybody know if Windows Server 2003 will work with the client? Didn't see it listed on the folding site....
I added my Athlon 64 3500+ to the team; however, I don't keep the computer on much when I'm not around so I probably won't be that big of a help.
For those new to FR's folding team, read up on previous Folding threads (most questions have already been answered)

Thanks for the thread.
Just FYI, I private mailed every new person who responded to this thread encouraging them to join F@H.
We should have 5-6 new CPUs as a result of this thread.
A few more joined as a result of the SETI thread yesterday.
We should have weekly threads from now on --> signing up just a couple of new CPUs each week, we can get into the Top100.
I dont have the time to correct the error on that machine but my correct score is 55035 more than that listed on team 36837.
I signed up the other day, may not be able to do much as it is only running on my laptop (AMD Athlon 4 1.2GHz), and only when plugged in.
Now that I have the right team number, I'm starting to show up on the list (Jinx). Added a second machine this morning - my Linux box. It will be interesting to see how it performs against my Mac G5 dual.
Go UT!
Go Penn State!
