Hey -- destroying stockholder value, obliterating the paper's vaunted history, wiping out the advertising base, alienating subscribers and killing any semblance of credibility is a small price to pay to keep Pinch's '60s fantasies alive!
Proud to do my part in cancelling my subscription.

People are starting to figure out thet the NY Times, the Democrats, and the rest of the American Left simply don't want the USA to be successful. Let the Leftist scum reap their bitter whirlwind.
At least they can't be accused of raking in any "windfall profits."
"Gray Lady Down!!! Gray Lady Down!!!"
It is awfully high priced fish wrap and
bird cage liner.
As far as I'm concerned, they can go out of business.........
OGW clap causes stock to tumble.
Johns sick
They can get costco to sell their stock as one of its designer products and it will go right back up...
As their lies escalate, stock prices, credibility, circulation and employment decrease. It's the new NYT law of diminishing returns come true.
What is the New York Times? A toilet?
More layoffs on the horizon for the liberal sheep at the NY Times. I guess the bolshevics at the Times are going to have to sublet all those empty offices in their new multi-million dollar office tower. The stock price is plummeting lower and expect it to be down another 50% by the end of 2006.
This is interesting and uplifting information. Please keep us updated.
***Great! When the price gets low enough maybe we can buy it and fire the whole bunch and start printing the "actual" news!***
My favorite daydream. I inherit untold billions from an uncle I never met. I buy the entire NY Times. The paper's slogan becomes: "All the unslanted news that fits in print."
Then I buy the L.A. Times.
(And the WaPo)
And the first story in each paper will be an expose of George Soros.

Here is a list of insiders (directors, officers) who have either purchased on sold their shares in the past year, courtesy MSN. The Sulzbergers each have 2 million shares remaining, so do a few directors, who are probably related to the Sulzbergers (Golden). Most are selling at this time.
