SoldiersPrayingMom just phoned me in tears to report that Sgt. Greg Parkinson (jmpmstr4u2) had been injured in the explosion of an improvised explosive device.
The Department of Defense called Greg's wife, Tammy, to inform her of the injury just after midnight California Time. They told her that he had been evacuated to a field hospital, that he had all of his limbs, but that he has injuries in his left arm and back.
SoldiersPrayingMom requests all Freepers to pray for healing and complete recovery. Pray for his Mom and Dad, Ruth (SoldiersPrayingMom) and Jim Parkinson, Greg's wife, Tammy, and his two daughters who face uncertainties and fear for his condition. Greg and his family need all of your prayers and support.

Sending prayers right away
Civilian doctors, no matter how reputed, don't really have the practice of attending to IED-type damage, and the doctors and nurses in the combat theater do. This fine patriot will be in the finest hands, hands that will love and care for him, and he'll be with his brothers, (which is where I speculate he wants to be).

Our prayers are being sent and heard by a God that loves Greg. Stay strong.
I am praying.
Standing in the gap for Greg. He needs prayer as much
as he needs a doctor.
Father, I do pray for Greg, this warrior who has protected us and given his body to do so. Bless and heal him, Father. Please minister through the physicians and the medical and rehab teams who will work on and with him to make him better.
And give all of us who are concerned about him the wisdom and intelligence to understand his needs and know how to pray for him.
Father, I also ask to comfort and strengthen his family. Give them that Peace that Passes All Understanding, Father,
the Peace that humans do not understand but only comes through the power of the Holy Spirit.
You have promised in your Word, Father, that you will do all things if we only believe. However much belief or how little belief, Father, I ask you to work the healing miracles and comfort that only you can do.
And I ask these things in Jesus' Blessed Name.
