SoldiersPrayingMom just phoned me in tears to report that Sgt. Greg Parkinson (jmpmstr4u2) had been injured in the explosion of an improvised explosive device.
The Department of Defense called Greg's wife, Tammy, to inform her of the injury just after midnight California Time. They told her that he had been evacuated to a field hospital, that he had all of his limbs, but that he has injuries in his left arm and back.
SoldiersPrayingMom requests all Freepers to pray for healing and complete recovery. Pray for his Mom and Dad, Ruth (SoldiersPrayingMom) and Jim Parkinson, Greg's wife, Tammy, and his two daughters who face uncertainties and fear for his condition. Greg and his family need all of your prayers and support.
Developing!

I just prayed for Greg and will remember him at Mass today, fatima
Dear Heavenly Father, please be with our brother during this uncertain time of injury, please guide the doctors how to repair his injuries so he has the fastest healing time and the least lingering damage. Please watch over his children, wife, mom and dad during this time - they are feeling helpless as he is so far away, please comfort their hearts and give them peace that You are doing Your mighty work. We lift Greg up to You, Lord, in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.
This is just so sad, I hope and pray he makes a complete recovery.
If you have a ping list for him I would appreciate it if you would add me to it.
Done.
Please help this good person; pray information news "ping". Thank you
Prayers from Texas for Greg and his family. May God bless him and heal him.
I'll keep Greg in my prayers. Two days ago, I met a young soldier that had been severely injured in an IED incident and was told he would be able to walk but probably never run again. Today, he is running and waiting for final medical clearance which will allow him to reenlist. Again the question comes up - "where do we get men like this?"
Prayers offered for Sgt. Greg Parkinson, his men, his family and all of our brave troops.
Prayers for all the family.........
Prayers going up for Greg.
Prayers from Missouri. Ping all.
Heavenly Father we ask that you heal and watch over our friend Greg, guide the doctors that are treating him and comfort his family and friends. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen
^
I will add him to my prayer list.
May God heal and comfort him, and may the God of all Love, wrap His arms around his family as well.
"Again the question comes up - "where do we get men like this?" From love and true love. Thank you
Heavenly Father, We call on you right now in a special way. It is through your power that we was created. every breath we take, every morning we wake, and every moment of every hour, we live under your power.
Father, we ask you now to touch Greg with that same power. For if you created us from nothing, you can certainly recreate us. Fill Greg with the healing power of Your Spirit. Cast out anything that should not be in him. Mend what is broken. Root out any unproductive cells. Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild any damages areas. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection.
Let the warmth of your healing love pass through his body to make new any unhealthy areas so that his body will function the way you created it to function. And Father, restore him to full health in mind and body so that he may serve you the rest of his life. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
