"Sadly, with the precedent of THE PENTAGON PAPERS garbage, he'll get away with this."

Why do you say that? I could see it only if his disclosure was of illegal acts and I have full confidence that these activities were entirely legal, in furtherance of the Presidents responsibilities for National Defense/Security. To boot, they were properly disclosed to appropriate oversight bodies in Congress. W's actions will only be deemed 'Illegal' in the MSM but not in any other legal forum IMO.

What I would really like to see is his imprisonment, a la Judith Miller, until he discloses his source. Then, let the games begin.

I think that you've misunderstood what I posted.

Only Republicans get prosecuted for this kind of thing; most when they haven't even done anything. So forget it...nothing, sadly, will happen to this POS and the OLD GREY BAGLADY he works for.

You ever heard of the First Amendment?

Citizens, including reporters, are not bound by intelligence disclosure laws. Reporting, regardless of what is reported, would never be considered treasonous unless one wants to completely gut the first amendment.

Some people here are making themselves look extremely silly. I agree that if government agents/employees were behind the leaks that lead to this (assuming there's something here; the admin could be playing a rope-a-dope knowing much of this info -- like the koran BS -- is incorrect), we should investigate whether laws were broken there. But that's a different issue.

Hate the guy if you want, but if what he's reporting is true, then he's only doing his job. What we need is people like him who are willing to do the same job no matter who's President.

It's not only the falseness of the charges that is a problem. That would not be directly providing aid and comfort to the enemy. Rather it's the revelation of sensitive intelligence methods in the ongoing war against the Terrorists. That is what should get someone or several someones stood up a against a wall and shot.
