You ever heard of the First Amendment?
Citizens, including reporters, are not bound by intelligence disclosure laws. Reporting, regardless of what is reported, would never be considered treasonous unless one wants to completely gut the first amendment.
Some people here are making themselves look extremely silly. I agree that if government agents/employees were behind the leaks that lead to this (assuming there's something here; the admin could be playing a rope-a-dope knowing much of this info -- like the koran BS -- is incorrect), we should investigate whether laws were broken there. But that's a different issue.
Hate the guy if you want, but if what he's reporting is true, then he's only doing his job. What we need is people like him who are willing to do the same job no matter who's President.

I was not suggesting the reporter has broken the law. However, the person that leaked the info to him might well have - Hence the comparison to Plame. Miller was not imprisoned for her reporting but she was for refusing to disclose the source of an unlawful leak. Same could well apply here if the leak is determined to be unlawful.

Cite the law supporting this please. I can't yell "fire!" in a crowded theater because it might cause harm to people in the ensuing rush to the exits. How can reporting information that would cause grievous and irreparable harm to a nation or it's citizens if that information was released to the enemy be protected?

Bravo, you have identified the problem well if it was a Independent Press we were dealing with here today...we are not...this is a conspiracy strategy, and we accidentally found this Bush hate-out from the Dim traitor Rockefeller MEMO from the Intelligence Committee...this is all part of the sedition by the dims today...the leftist press is so biased with hate they cannot even piss straight much less look objectively at the wonderful security the Bush admin has provided the Country in-spite of their hate and rage...Dims...until your party makes a radical turn to at least look at the moderates in your party like Joe Lieberman...you will continue to blow away any chance to be in power... And we will never believe Hildabeast Clinton is a Centrist...your words mean nothing to us anymore only your actions speak for you...and right now it a very ugly impression!!! Jim
