The liberal complaint is that the American economy is currently making capitalists wealthy and illegal aliens and foreign workers better off at the expense of the American middle and working classes...and that this is a result of deliberate policy choices of the Administration.

When you start off a sentence with the phrase 'the liberal complaint', I stop reading.

I also use this method for sentences that begin with the phrase 'According to the NY Times' or According to the Polls'.

"The liberal complaint is that the American economy is currently making capitalists wealthy and illegal aliens and foreign workers better off at the expense of the American middle and working classes"

Please name even one liberal who has tried to say what you have posted here. The liberals are PRO illegal immigration, and don't give a rats behind about the middle class.....never have, and never will. The problem we have are the left wingers and CINO's who like the fact that Bush is flooding the country with illegals.

So, the liberals are against everyone's standard of living going up? It's NOT a zero-sum equation...everyone benefits from a stronger economy, but you Dims don't get it and never will.

Liberal policies will make the illegal and foreign problem worse, no thanks. Gotta agree that Bush is not helping much there either, but we Minutemen will continue to push him. As for the rest:

Unemployment: Lowest level in recent history, lowest among developed nations in the world. Stock market strong (most of the middle and 'working' classes have their savings here too), wages up, consumer confidence high, what's not to like?

Over 50 percent of American's are stock owners. C'mon Larry, join the system which has given American working class the highest living standard in the world. Its not perfect but its better than every other system.

Looks like you are taking a whoopin from our freeper "conservatives?" so I'll say I agree with you. The improving economy probably also explains he articles I have been seeing warning that we are about to have a crash, saying get out of mutual funds now, the housing bubble, etc. They may just be the gold hustlers or they may be libs trying to talk the economy down.

"liberal complaint"

Less dependence on government to solve your economic problems is the way to go. I've been a union member for most of my working life (currently over fifty), and I'll guarantee you that most of the union members I know, even the staunch Dems, are huge participants in the various thrift savings plans or IRAs which involve deep investment in the stock market. Getting into the stock market makes everyone richer...including my wife who made a bundle while working at Walmart. She invested in their stock option plan, and made quite a bit. The Dow is good for everybody sir.
