WASHINGTON - Looking for religious voters, some Democrats are finding God.
They're finding him in terms more familiar in recent times to religious conservatives than to liberals, invoking Jesus Christ or the spiritual meaning of Christmas as they push their agenda or criticize Republicans
In one example Wednesday, several congressional Democrats stood before the Capitol Christmas tree as they urged raising the minimum wage. They called it key to the "true meaning of Christmas - hope, generosity and goodwill toward others." In another, they protested Republican budget cuts for the poor as an affront to Christian values.
The religious tone comes as some conservatives, backed by talk radio and cable television, have declared that liberals and secularists have declared war on Christmas.

** LET THE LIES BEGIN (they actually have never stopped) **
Get your recorders going -- we are going to hear some whoppers from the commies-trying-2-B-conservatives -- it is tragic, but funny too.
Too bad the ideal of Christian poverty has escaped the billionaires in the democrat party.
Christ didn't say to give money out of the public taxes, he told the rich young man to give his away.
Begone. I never knew you.
I would think they would do better if they tried sincerity.

The Thugocrats? Sincerity? Honesty would put them out of business -- even thier mindless kool-aid-drinkers would see their socialist agenda.
They aren't sincere about religion. When their two biggest supporters are pro-abortion groups and homosexual advocates, it's pretty hard for people to take you seriously about your religious beliefs.
I'm waiting for their brand new, unopened, oversized Bibles, carried everywhere for media exposure.
DimoRats have allways been the biggest hypocrites as
well as the biggest liars...They are the souless
hordes of the Damned.
State compelled "charity" to advance the liberal agenda of victimhood and dependency is theft, a fraud and a humbug about as far removed from genuine Christianity as one can get.
I've got a better idea. Leave that money in the hands of taxpayers to decide for themselves how to best benefit their fellow man.
The Rats have no core. What they have is a facade, the facade can change based on polls and perception. It's not sincere, it's PR. It is also disgusting.
(Denny Crane: "I Don't Want To Socialize With A Pinko Liberal Democrat Commie.Say What You Like About Republicans. We Stick To Our Convictions. Even When We Know We're Dead Wrong.")
Although I will say there seem to be a very few Democrats who seem to be sincere about religion: Jimmy Cater and Joe Lieberman, for starters (and the late Bob Casey).
NOT defending Dems (I once was lost but now am conservative), just making an observation.
But, in general, I think it can be said that the party seems to mainly consist of agnostics and/or athiests, which is pretty much what you have to be in order to embrace the communistic bent of the Democratic Party as a "good thing".
Oops! Carter (not an intentional Freudian slip!)
Uh-huh, sure they are.
Can you believe this load of manure coming from these liars?.....
...Edgar said after joining several Democrats at the Capitol Christmas tree. "Jesus said that whatsoever we do to the least of our brothers and sisters, we do to God. Jesus would be outraged that a nation of such great wealth would have so many poor."
I wonder how Jesus feels about Edgar and the unwavering support by Democrats for killing unborn little babies...Talk about the least of our brother and sisters...
