I don't suppose the little nancy-boy Republicans will cut their pork in retaliation. No. Of course not.
And the corrupt liars certainly didn't have a problem when Gore was trying to tap every phone in America with the Clipper chip... or when Billy Boy got caught tapping the Internet with Carnivore.
They really are opportunistic whores.

That is ALL these idiot politicians want to do...is hold hearings, which gets their ugly faces on TV!!!
BTW...I hope the FIRST people they call are Sen.Rockefeller, DEMOCRAT...and the others that knew about this all along...
Which, makes this a wrong headed investigation like the Plame thing...
Since Bush TOLD congresscritters he was doing it...then they can't keep saying he was "secretly" breaking the law, can they?

So voters, can now expect a serious investigation to identify then prosecute the person who leaked the classified information.
Right?

Yet again we see the results of compromise in allowing Spector the chairmanship of the judiciary committee. The republicans in the senate really don't like being in the majority. They long for the day when chairman Ted Kennedy can humiliate them. That is what they want and unfortunately what they may get. When it happens Spector will be treated like the stooge he is...

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Arlen Specter put the Bush administration on notice Friday that his panel would hold hearings into a report that the National Security Agency eavesdropped without warrants on people inside the United States.Does anybody notice the sneaky way they word this? These are not "US citizens" protected by the Constitution, but simply "people inside the United States". Could be illegals, or suspicious foreigners, etc. Very deceptive, I think.

No better way to bury a story than have Republicans get behind it. Trust me, just like the "Torture Ban", this is a masterful Rovian plot to bury a story that would otherwise have the Libs/MSM pitching a fit.
With Repubs expressing outrage, the story will die in two news cycles.

Send Spector and McCain to the Democrats.
