(Vanity) Favorite Christmas Movies
Various FReepers | December 16, 2005 | Vanity, thy name is Owl_Eagle

Since there clearly haven't been enough vanities around here today, I figured I weigh in with one:

What are your three favorite Christmas Movies of all  time?

Me, I'm going with:

3.  A Christmas Carol (staring Patrick Stewart, 1999)

2.  A Very Brady Christmas (yes I'm serious)

1.  It's A Wonderful Life (one of the finest films of all time)

Alright FReepers, time to opine...

"You know, I'm going to start thanking
the woman who cleans the restroom in
the building I work in.  I'm going to start
thinking of her as a human being"

(Yes, she really said that

Miracle on 34th Street and the Grinch. I also associate the Rose Paradw with Christmas...tho' it's more of a New Year's celebration.

You need to watch it all the way through, without being interupted, so you can get into it. Get a video. You have to listen to the conversations so you can understand the story and care about the characters. Every part of the beginning and middle builds up to the last half hour, which makes you understand how he felt about his life, and why he thought it was worthless. Watch the whole movie, and give it a chance... not on tv with commercials, and not going in and out of the room.

Don't forget "The Family Man", with Nicolas Cage, one of my favorite movies.

Some one already mentioned “We're No Angles”.
I recommend John Wayne in “Donavan’s Reef”.
A really cute Christmas pagent with the little kiddies.
Also “Stalag 17”. "Animal" dancing with whom he believes is Betty Grable is priceless.
