israel is going to need to be the ones who take out Iran. Seriously: How? Other than (possibly)nuking a few critical sites, I don't see that Israel has that kind of power protection capability.

The SA-15 can reportedly identify up to 48 targets and fire at two targets simultaneously at a height of 20 to 6,000 meters (60-20,000 feet). Likely I am just ignorant, but what use would that be against a bomber flying at 25,000ft?

India has interests in the region as well as in the war on terror(see today's posts on alQuaeda bomb threat to indian parliament) and it's already nucular. Hem Iran between Iraq having a legimate army and India and I believe the region will stabilize-- though that's five years down the road I guess.

I forgot.. He is a communist. He just can't come out and say it (yet). Putin longs for the return of the CCCP.

IMO, Israel will have to go Nuke. The distances are too far for anything but limited strikes.
When Israel goes nuke the whole game changes as well as the players. This is the next world war and I fear Israel will end up being a smoking crater.

I don't think the rest of the world will stand by and allow Israel to use nukes for lack of a conventional military capacity. That is why I said "new players" will become involved (France, possibly Ukraine, definitely Pakistan). All it takes is a couple of detonations inside Israel and homeland would be uninhabitable.

Israel will not stand by while the rest of the world waits for the rags to nuke them.
Ones survival takes precedence over the "feelings" of others.
Especially since no matter what Israel does most of the world will hate them.

I have no doubt that Israel will first strike. I'm just speculating on their survival afterwards.

The one thing of which I'm fairly sure we agree is that the defecate will be hitting the wind propulsion device over there in the not to distant future.

Let our Air Force/Navy do it for them.

I didn't know that Iran had a treaty with the Soviet Union. Could you please tell me more?

Are you goofy? Her guns? Maybe her Tomahawk cruise missiles! Sailors call them Billy Clinton's hard-on, because x42 used them in strikes designed to keep little jewess's BJ's off the frontpages. My military buddies were not at all happy with that 8 year hangover.
