It's a pdf file, so it needs to be keyed in manually. I don't know how much veracity there is to this poll, as Fox polled the same nights and got a 42% approval (same as last time)... Still looks good nonetheless.

Whether it's 42% or 50%, he still beats out Congress and the media. I don't remember what the court's approval rating is, but it should be lower than all of the above.

I think he's going to win a third term.

well considering there are still people out there who don't think he won his first term in 2000, he has then only served one term he was elected to (2004), so he can run and win his 2nd term in 2008.

Heck, might as well use the left's stupidity against them. It's free and available in abundance.

This makes me wonder about the Times sitting on story of possible domestic spying for a full year. Did they want a trump card when his numbers started to improve?

That cracks me up. It's so cute. hahaha. Jeez, that's so old and lame. No offense to you, but if you can't comprehend the importance of Bush's polling numbers improving, and the impact downstream, then you're lost my friend.

Excellent point. I certainly wouldn't put this past them.

Taking things a little personal there?

Why don't you read my posts for the last year and tell me what I comprehend, my "friend."

Stop by and see me in Missouri some time.

I have never heard of this poll. Moreoever, I don't care what the Presidents approval rating is. I just care that he is back on message regarding the war, taxes, and the econoomy. He will hit a homerun with me if he gets with it on the border.

I'm for it!

I actually think W. would win again if there was another election held today.

Like I said, it wasn't meant at you personally (apologies if that's the way it came out). It was meant as a general response to the callous comment "oh, he won't get elected to a third term". There's so much at stake, it's important for his poll numbers to be solid.

My thoughts as posted last evening . . .

POLLING UPDATE:

Four polls were released today (12/15/05): 2 MSM polls and 2 Independent polls. Guess which polls offered the most credible results?!!

The 'Independent' Rasmussen and the 'MSM' NBCNews/WSJ polls ostensibly surveyed the same population -- a national sample of 'adults'. However, their results differed dramatically (gee, I wonder why)!

RASMUSSEN
12/12-14/05 46% approve 53% disapprove
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Bush_Job_Approval.htm

NBCNEWS/WSJ
12/9-12/05 39% approve 55% disapprove
[NOTE: This poll has historically posted results lower than other MSM polls, e.g., it put the President's JA at 40something in 2003 when every other poll had the President's JA in the high 50s/low 60s . . . 'nuf said.]

RASMUSSEN trumps NBC in this match-up!

The 'Independent' Hotline/Diageo poll and the 'MSM' FoxNews/Opinion Dynamics polls both surveyed the same population -- a national sample of 'registered voters' (they even used the same 2-day polling format). Once again, however, the Independent and the MSM pollsters achieved different results.

HOTLINE/DIAGEO POLL
12/12-13/05 50% approve 47% disapprove
[Ed Rollins is one of the best in the business!!!]

NEW YORK – December 15, 2005 – President Bush’s approval ratings have spiked dramatically over the last month while Congressional approval crashed. Following several recent speeches on Iraq, voters appear to be rallying around the president, with a 10-point jump in his approval since a similar poll in November (from 40% to 50%). Bush’s largest gain was among Independents, whose approval jumped by sixteen points. Meanwhile, voters are souring on Congress, disapproving of its job performance by 64% to 26% — a 14-point rise in disapproval since last month. Despite controlling both houses, Republicans also disapprove of Congress by 54% to 38%.

FOXNEWS/OPINION DYNAMICS
12/13-14/05 42% approve 51% disapprove
[Opinion Dynamics blew the 2004 election . . . For many reasons, I haven't trusted their polling results since -- their JA ratings for Independents are particularly suspect.]

Hotline/Diageo trumps OpinionDynamics in this match-up!

BOTTOMLINE: The President is ending the year with his JA ratings trending UP. According to Rasmussen, the President's December JA ratings have averaged 46% among adults/49% among likely voters. Ed Rollins' Hotline/Diageo poll confirms this average!!!

FYI: RealClearPolitics (RCP) average puts Congress' JA rating at 29% . . . a definite DOWNWARD trend! [Let's see, who should be ashamed to be seen with whom?!]

CONGRATULATIONS MR. PRESIDENT . . . MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I am also a poll watcher, although it is difficult with all the MSM spinning.

The sad thing is we'll never hear about the polls once his JA gets near 50%.

I have been watching for articles and reports that quote his poll numbers for no reason and sending as many nasty e-mails as I can! Also forward them to Accuracy in Media, Hume, Rush, Hannity, etc.

I'll send you the worst example of bias I've seen lately, in case you haven't seen it.

I believe the numbers have always been good. They just started to ask real people instead of "adults".
