True but Lazio did not have enough time and did the wrong thing by attacking Hillary personally with that piece of paper asking her to sign it. People got turned off by that and it made Hillary look like a victim (which of course we all know she is not).
He did not 'attack her with a piece of paper.' What he did was blown out of all proportion, and yes, he did get into the race too late. Look what happened in Illinois last year when the Republican candidate for the US Senate dropped out at the last minute. They ran Alan Keyes and he got his clock cleaned.
