This is going to be fun! Especially since they are going nuts in MD about (R) Gov Erhlich hiring a GOP campaign aide that went after Max Cleland. They are saying it shows how dirty the GOP is. Proving the dems were behind the outing of fellow (D) Sen Barbara Mikulski in the MD4Bush affair will go a long way in showing they are the dirty ones.

Is Jim Robinson another homely "spokeswoman" for FreeRepublic?

Priceless exchange in the WBAL article:
"Are you in any way associated in any way with MD4Bush?" Collins asked O'Doherty.
"As I made clear, I answered that question several months ago, I absolutely did, it's in your notes, and I appreciate that opportunity," O'Doherty said.

What kind of scummy public official sends people to spread nasty rumors about himself? The kind who thinks he's clever. By spreading nasty rumors about himself, he can control his negative media coverage. Make false accusations against himself and then blame the opposition, and while the scandal continues - nobody is actually looking for dirt in the right places because they're all out following a non-existent story.

The Baltimore media being very leftwing, it is no surprise that the news accounts are written for maximum confusion and minimum clarity. Just another effort to make it all sound like the Republicans or conservatives are somehow at fault and the Democraps are helpless victims.

Through all of this, I still haven't found out how MD4BUSH KNEW that he was talking to a Republican operative or that it was even Joe Steffen. Is this link still missing?
There may be a hell of a lot more information behind the crack we've found and are now peering through.

Proving the dems were behind the outing of fellow (D) Sen Barbara Mikulski in the MD4Bush affair will go a long way in showing they are the dirty ones. I'm confused. Every article and FR discussion comes from the assumption that everybody knows what is going on. I don't and I assume the average Schmoe sitting at their TV doesn't. Unless this whole thing can be summarized in a short, pithy and easy to digest way, there is zero political milage to be had from this.
Can you point me in the right direction?

Now here is some interesting information, which tends to confirm a theory that I have held since this broke:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1514267/posts
Ryan O'Doherty has ties with a man named Douglas Duncan through a group called Citizens for Quality Living a group representing real estate developers. Both men were members of the group. Duncan is a fellow Democrat but is a political foe of Baltimore Mayor O'Malley
Aha. Douglas Duncan. he man who is opposing Marty in the primary. The man who would benefit the most from spreading false rumors about O'Malley, then getting Republican Governor Robert Ehrlich blamed for it.
At the time, I said that this looked like a Duncan operation. This information tends to support that.
