This is going to be fun! Especially since they are going nuts in MD about (R) Gov Erhlich hiring a GOP campaign aide that went after Max Cleland. They are saying it shows how dirty the GOP is. Proving the dems were behind the outing of fellow (D) Sen Barbara Mikulski in the MD4Bush affair will go a long way in showing they are the dirty ones.

I'm confused. Every article and FR discussion comes from the assumption that everybody knows what is going on. I don't and I assume the average Schmoe sitting at their TV doesn't. Unless this whole thing can be summarized in a short, pithy and easy to digest way, there is zero political milage to be had from this.

Can you point me in the right direction?

Ok, I'll try: THE 5 POINT EASY EXPLANATION OF MD4BUSH AFFAIR:

1. A dem operative came to Freerepublic and used "MD4Bush" as a screen name

2. He sought out freeper "NCPAC", an aide to Maryland (R) governor of Maryland Robert Ehrlich

3. MD4BUSH posted comments about Ehrlichs future opponent,(D)Baltimore mayor Martin Omally, cheating on his wife. MD4BUSH posted about this 3 times before getting NCPAC to comment on the rumors. MD4BUSH also commented on (D) MD sen Barbara Mikulski being a lesbian.

4. NCPAC said he had heard the rumors about Omally and, in private freepmails (inter-site emails at FR) with MD4BUSH, went into more detail.

5. Access to the emails and the personal identity of NCPAC were given to the Washington Post which ran a story that basically said Ehrlich's aide was out spreading rumours on the internet about Omally.

Note: If anyone can help me clean this up a bit to make it easier/more factual feel free. It seems many are requesting quick explanations of what this is all about.
