I can't find Mike Farrell's public outcry on this one.The guy's last name was "Nixon." Methinks for that alone he wasn't going to get much sympathy from the Left.

I think it is about nicknames. If the guy was known
as John “The Cracker” Nixon or John “Hair Trigger” Nixon
or even John “The Baptist” Nixon there would have been
much more media attention.
