Child Killer Was a Pothead
Accuracy in Media ^ | December 15, 2005 | Cliff Kincaid

Posted on 12/14/2005 9:27:54 PM PST by Mojave

The George Soros-funded campaign to legalize marijuana has run into a problem. Joseph Smith, convicted and sentenced to death for the abduction, rape and murder of 11-year-old Carlie Brucia, has been exposed as a pothead. In an unsuccessful ploy to spare his life, his attorneys argued that he was a drug addict, used drugs on the occasion of the Brucia murder, and began his involvement with drugs by smoking marijuana. It looks like marijuana didn't have many "medical benefits" in this case.

"And people want to legalized this stuff. Unbelievable."

Yeah, unbelievable that specious, phony articles by a nut job like Cliff Kincaid are taken seriously by any thinking person.

we are going to continue to toke regardless of what the law says.

"The voluntary support of laws, formed by persons of their own choice, distinguishes peculiarly the minds capable of self-government. The contrary spirit is anarchy, which of necessity produces despotism." --Thomas Jefferson

Marijuana isn't a "gateway drug."

It's a medical miracle drug. Soros says so.

It amazes me how many pot heads are members of FR. And they always come out when the MJ word is used. I just have to read a few posts. You can talk among yourselves.

"Dennis Rader was an anti drug crusader, anti porn crusader, president of the Congregation Council in the Lutheran Church and Cub Scout leader. His drug was the Bible. Two of his ten victims were children who he raped and tortured to death"

I'm not sure how Rader protested porn - but he certainly had quite an extensive collection of it.
Porn was his drug - the bible and the church stuff was a cover - another "mask" he liked to wear.

I would expect no less from a pot smoking Libertarian like Buckley.

Buckley was once asked how he could have smoked dope without violating the law. He hastily insisted he had smoked it on his yacht out past the three mile limit. The questioner asked him how he got the drugs there. Buckley began squirming like Bill Clinton at a deposition.

Proudly bragging about their drug use on a Conservative site. This is what it's come to.

Maybe you have seen the damage done the alcohol industry by the thousands of murders yearly committed by drunks? What you haven't seen any? Maybe that is because there has been none.

Lets see thousands of drunk murders vs. MAYBE one influenced by pot. Oh, yeah this is a HUGE story. But the story is one of grasping at straws.

--- Oh yeah, and can we please not shift the grounds for illegalization from "it produces killers" to "you shouldn't be doing it anyway"? Wouldn't we all like to be first in line to write the thou-should-not laws ... ---

I did not write the "Thou shalt not" laws, I only try to obey them.

If you want to smoke dope, I am not going to stop you and probably can't convince you it is wrong. Unlike the wine that Jesus drank, dope has only one real purpose, to get stoned.

If Jesus had been getting ripped on Cabernet, stumbling around drooling and losing his mental facility, perhaps your point would be valid.

Now if you are gonna try to tell me that the dope you smoke is "really light, doesn't give me a buzz, I smoke it for the taste", I am not gonna believe you because I have been there, done it, and know the truth.

New variety of conservatism, like they practised in Salem a few hundred years ago.
