My take on Rep. John Murtha, the 37-year Marine Corps veteran who is assailing US policy in Iraq: the dems drew straws among those least likely to have their patriotism questioned and sent him out to Microphone City to blast, and politicize, Bush's winning strategy.
US calls Iranian leader's comments 'outrageous'. The White House assailed as "outrageous" Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's comments dismissing the Holocaust as a myth and saying Israel should be cut from the Middle East [and suggesting the Europeans should make a place for Israel in Europe]. "I think all responsible leaders in the international community recognize how outrageous such comments are," spokesman Scott McClellan said of the hardline leader's latest outburst against Israel.

At the president's speech, listening as Bush outlines the strategy for victory in Iraq during remarks on the War on Terror at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington D.C.
