I wouldn't count Texas to quick. We can see a snake oil salesman from pretty far.
Texans for Pence.
He can't be trusted...after his recommendation of Fitz to W...I give him a big ole' thumbs down....
Yeah... Rudy's got the gay, pro-choice southern vote locked-up.
Like the folks wanting Jeb in '08...
I was thinking about primaries. Mississippi may have a caucus...
LOL! Good one!
Nobody but kooks and rabid conservo-utopians consider Rudy Giuliani a 'snake-oil salesman'. Many may prefer other candidates and not agree with all his political positions, but few accuse him of dishonesty and Clinton-esque qualities.
I'd like to see Rudy run against Clintoon for her senate seat(but we know he won't run...making too much money in the private sector)
I like Cheney/Rice in 2008( only if Rice won't come back to CA to run against DiFi for her senate seat next year)
I like Rudy. For the WOT, he'd be great.
But, the r-i-n-o keys on Freeper keyboards would be worn out soon.
Yes, the primaries will be interesting and aren't a certainty either way. But I'm willing to bet that Giuliani will fare better than some here think, and will either win the nomination or be the VP selection.
Well, one could do worse than getting him. Depends on the other choices.
I'm all for a ticket of Dick Cheney & Condi Rice.
However, I like Sen. Allen, especially considering he had a term as governor.
If it came down to a choice between Rudy and Hillary, I'd vote for Rudy in a heartbeat. Having said that, 2008 is not on my radar screen. 2006 will be an important mid-term election.
RINOs are trying to wield their clout now, and it's up to President Bush to lead. If the RINOs are not slapped down, and soon, 2006 will be a disaster.
The RINOs better start remembering who actually put them in their exalted positions. If not, they'll be in the cheap offices in the Capitol, and calling Nancy Pelosi "Ms. Speaker".
I don't want a New Yorker for president at all. They are all way out in left field and don't have a clue about the rest of the United States.
Thats a dream ticket! I would love to vote for that ticket! Too bad Cheney is not running and neither is Rice.
"New York Wants Giuliani in White House"
And we all want to win the lottery.
Hey RINO's, ABROM, anybody but Rudy or Mccainiac.
By snake oil I mean trying to present himself as a conservative ( or the media doing it ). If you check Texas County voting records the most conservative candidate usually wins.
Texas ( except for Austin ) is pro gun and pro life, Rudy is not.
"Too bad Cheney is not running and neither is Rice."
well we all know that two years is a lifetime in politics;
sooooo we'll just have to wait and see;
but I don't see anyone better qualified than Cheney out there to run for POTUS in 2008???
JMO
You are right its still too early yet. It would be nice if Cheney decided to run. He would smack down any Dem in a debate!
He is a RINO, but I would take him over Hitlery.
Too bad Rudy could never get past the die-hard, one-issue "conservatives" (pro-life peanut gallery)within the party to actually get the nomination. It's a pity that a good man (and candidate) can't advance because of his views on this issue.
Before I get flamed, I too am opposed to abortion (because of personal experience with it, not because of religious or political or ideological reasons), but I can look past the issue if it means a qualified individual might have a chance to run the country.
Fire away, if you wish...
