Last September, Danish author Kåre Bluitgen was set to publish a book on the Muslim prophet Muhammad, but couldnt find an illustrator. Artistic representations of the human form are forbidden in Islam -- so three artists turned down Bluitgens offer to illustrate the book, fearing they would pay with their lives for doing so. The largest newspaper in Denmark, Jyllands-Posten, in turn asked for depictions of Muhammad and received 12 cartoons of the Prophet -- several playing on the violence committed by Muslims in the name of Islam today.
Danish Imam Raed Hlayhel demanded an apology, but Jyllands-Posten refused. Said editor-in-chief Carsten Juste: We live in a democracy. Thats why we can use all the journalistic methods we want to. Satire is accepted in this country, and you can make caricatures. Religion shouldnt set any barriers on that sort of expression. This doesnt mean that we wish to insult any Muslims. Cultural editor Flemming Rose concurred: In a democracy one must from time to time accept criticism or becoming a laughingstock. Some Muslims in Denmark were in no mood to be laughed at. Jyllands-Posten had to hire security guards to protect its staff as threats came in by phone and email.

I'm not the greatest artist in the world, but I sure as heck will illustrate that book for her, just don't ask me to do the pedophile part where he rapes children, I have to draw the line somewhere.

Sounds good.
Now, if the Western world will simply prohibit Islam in any form we can get on with our lives.

Gee if all they wanted was a picture of Mo-Ham-Mud they should have let me know.
I create a likeness of him every morning in the toilet and would be happy to send them a digital picture.

And it may yet turn out that as the West continues to pay homage to its idols of tolerance, multiculturalism, and pluralism, it will give up those hard-won freedoms voluntarily. If so it will be Western liberals who come under the Muslim knife first.
Muslims use liberals as useful idiots now, but they understand that liberals who will betray their own people will just as soon betray Islam.

"Comparing bowel movements to mohammed is an insult to bowel movements everywhere. Shame on you." You are right. How insensitive of me. I trust nobody was offended (you know the worse crime only committed by white people)/sarcasm
