It seems that the minute a murderer is brought to trial that the victims become relevant only in a legally abstract sense. It's all about the defendant, making sure he gets justice, which seems to be defined as getting him off. Anything less is perceived as an injustice.

"What's this with "tookie"? "

A lot of gangstahs and killers have nicknames. It's OK with me (unless it was a contrivance by the MSM, Left to make him cute; then I can see why it's objectionable.)

"That's the way the Tookie Crumbles"

It takes TWENTY-FIVE YEARS to put people to death in freekin California. What is the problem out there?

These victims families waited 25 years to watch a-holes cry for the perp. Sheesh.

You obviously are not a student of history.A short read of the events staged in the Roman Colosseum, a bit of the French Revolution, or the Spanish Inquisition may help you understand. I did not say you will agree ... but you would understand.

You responded to my post as though it said that I had never heard of executions being used as entertainment. The post does not say that, or imply it.

I don't understand the appeal of child molestation either. This does not mean, as you apparently would conclude, that I am unaware that child molestation has a long, disgusting history.

Patronize someone else.

"People who have to live in the real world are relieved that Williams is dead and a little gallows humor is natural, especially since activists and the mainstream media tried to make Williams out to be some sort of saint."

yes. This includes most black people, I believe. after Bernard Goertz shot those 4 black thugs guys who were picking on him ifon the subway, he used to go into Harlem to get counseling from this supercool black guy whose name I can't remember (he was sort of a right wing black political activist, based in Harlem.)

I saw this guy talking about it on TV, way back when. During that period a year or two after the shooting. He said, the people of Harlem used to hang out of their windows and cheer as Goertz walked by.

You got them phonetically correct - it's "Charon" and "Acheron."

"We should also have a speedy and fair implemtation of sentences if a conviction occurs.

Enough of the liberalized circus sewage..."

You are right of course. However, although many conservatives agree with you, I have not actually furthered any specific proposals about how this could be achieved.

"when rioting starts. People will get a kick out of that, too."

Most people (myself included) have a fairly base nature, so we enjoy these kind of things. That doesn't mean we can't behave in a basically moral fashion. Then again, men as a group are probably somewhat worse than women as a group(depending on how much weight you wanna give to various kinds of bad things.)

"I don't personally care if the police are involved or not."

That's a little --er, insensitive. On the other hand, sometimes insensitivity is probably warrented.

"the fellows who were responsible for finding the veins to inject the lethal doses had difficulty doing so."

Any competent nurse can do it quickly, seems to me. Course, it may depend on just how many times your veins have already been punctured.
