Thank you. As a fellow Catholic, I appreciate your opinion on this.

A murderer makes that choice, an aborted fetus has no choice.

I think it very respectful of life that a murderer forfeits their life for wrongfully taking the lives of others. To allow the murderer to live, seems to show a lack of respect for the life which was taken.

I'm not a Catholic, but I do have a warm spot in my heart for them. I have no such conflict. Seeing the wicked justly punished brings me joy.

Love that institutional green of the death chamber.... Institutional green is the most sinister color in the world.

As an Episcopalian I'm far more civilized than you. And I say snuff the piece of filth (in the most humane possible way, of course).

Does God believe in capital punishment?

After reflection I have to say, yes.

What better proof do we need then that Jesus was tortured and excuted as plan of God's plan.

Jesus was innocent, The charges were iffy, trumped up and the trial was a kangaroo court, in short if ever there was a case where an innocent man was executed wrongly, Jesus would be the prefect example, and yet God wanted exactly that result as an example for all mankind.

The execution of Criminals is part of mortal life under the governments of this earth, part of rendering to Caesar what is Caesar's, as part of God's plan, ultimately Everyone will be judged by God's laws as well, in that higher court those really innocents that were executed will rewarded as those really guilty will also be punished.

Those trying to abolish The death penalty in God's name ignore the obivious, Jesus was executed and God wanted it that way.

Another Catholic thanks you. So many claim that the church is strongly opposed to capital punishment and this simply is not true. The church doesn't like it, but condones it in cases such as this.

What blows my mind is how the media portrays Catholics against the death penalty as loving, compassionate souls, yet paints Catholics opposed to abortion as uncaring, unsympathetic dolts.
