USSC Refuses to accept appeal from death sentence.
(12-12) 18:29 PST WASHINGTON (AP) --
Crips gang founder Stanley Tookie Williams lost a last-ditch Supreme Court appeal that sought to stop his execution early Tuesday in California.
Justices on Monday night refused without comment to intervene and block the execution, hours after Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger also declined to spare Williams' life.
The court's action was not a surprise, because justices only rarely award stays in the last minute emergency appeals filed routinely on behalf of death row inmates.
Williams was appealing a decision by the San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit of Appeals which said there was no "clear and convincing evidence of actual innocence" in the case.

I heard a caller on the Michael Medved show that claimed Mr Williams was convicted by an all white jury. I was skeptical and googled it. Evidently the jury that originally convicted him included two non-white women. So much for the BIG LIE.

I think I heard the same guy....the one who said Scwarzenegger should also die, because of all the deaths he's inspired through his movies.....I can't believe the lengths some people will go to....Medved kept saying....Tookie killed 4 people....Arnold has killed NONE.
