WASHINGTON - Crips gang founder Stanley Tookie Williams lost a last-ditch Supreme Court appeal that sought to stop his execution early Tuesday in California.
Justices on Monday night refused without comment to intervene and block the execution, hours after Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger also declined to spare Williams' life.

Goodbye Tookie.
Tookie was just a prop in the Jesse Jackson show.
I was coming off shift when dispatch announced: "Tookie Williams in CA was pronounced dead at 3:35 AM EST".
You should have heard the cheer come up from local and county law enforcement.
Yes, and of course the old reliable for the loony left - Bush caused all this, and to boot he did it to appease the "vast right wing religious conservatives".
I looked through these links, and as far as I can tell, they accurately represent Christian Science teachings. I cannot speak for their accuracy regarding Mrs. Eddy. However, you said much more than that Christian Science is not genuinely Christian (a point I would agree with) or that Mrs. Eddy was a fraud (a point that I don't know enough to agree with or not).
You said she's in Hell, along with Stalin, et al.
If all false teachers are in Hell, then I suppose Mrs. Eddy must be, from the orthodox Christian standpoint. My view is that even if Hell exists, surely it is reserved for genuine evil, not confusion. Eddy and Stalin simply don't belong in the same category. If Hell includes all false teachers of religion, then God is one nasty SOB, which I find hard to believe. I know something about Christian Science and Christian Scientists. I believe it, and they, do more good than harm. In fact, I have more respect for it and them than for much of what passes as modern evangelical Christianity and for many of its followers. (David Frum on certain evangelicals' schtick: "God will make you rich. God will make you thin. God will improve your sex life." Christian Science stands head and shoulders above this.)
It's one thing to believe someone's in hell.
It's another thing to group him/her together with the likes of Stalin. Mary Baker Eddy was trying to benefit mankind, and didn't establish a brutal dictatorship that killed tens of millions. Whatever she was, she was no monster. Stalin was.
Yes, it is interesting that Liberals always side with evil.
(Saddam Hussein is a new hero for them because he is standing up to the judge in his trial)
They should be called on it every time.
I guess I shall use this thread to post my apology to Arnold. I posted several times over the past week that I thought Arnold would cave - - fold like a cheap suit, etc.
I was wrong.
Kudos to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger for doing what needed to be done.
To be perfectly honest with you, I don't believe in hell. But that is not my point. Nor is my point that Mary Baker Eddy is not in hell. According to your theology she is. I don't quibble with that, even though I don't believe it.
What I quibble with, enough to write a post about it, is your gratuitous reference to her along with Stalin as a resident of hell. It seems to place her on the same moral level, which I find simply grotesque. What God does is one thing. What we find appropriate is another. I have a real problem with someone who thinks Mary Baker Eddy deserves to be in hell as much as Stalin does.
It makes FReep, which is a political not a theological forum, look a little crazy to have such comments on it.
Gotcha. Our loving God throws people into an eternal lake of fire for not believing in a very specific form of theology. Makes tons of sense to me. I'll get right on that.
I have to say, the reference didn't seem like a joke. I'll take your word that it was, but I think it's a little odd for a fundamentalist who really believes in the place and believes the vast majority of mankind (right?) is headed there to joke about hell. And I don't like the idea of joking about Stalin, either.
But, explanation accepted.
