How is stopping a minority from blocking a Supreme Court nominee that a majority wants to confirm a denial of freedom of speech. Am I being thickheaded here?

Their theory is that all filibusters represent 'freedom of speech'. Forget that they are not in the Constitution.

According to Byrd you are thick-headed and so is Frist...LOL

Of course, Byrd is being purposely "dense" about the fact that Frist is NOT talking about a constitutional rule....but a Senate rule..

I have a feeling this whole short session of the Senate, before the Christmas break, is going to be one long bitch session..about everything the dems can think of.
