Harkin said he expects a filibuster. Biden mentioned, Boxer mentioned, Feingold says it's "perfectly fine to use a filibuster," Reid mentioned too.
Quite predictable the subject would come up - I'm surprized it was the first discussion of the day. But Myers has been on the Exec Calendar since March.

Boxer said filibuster was on the table. What constitutes a threat? "I will filibuster." or "This nominee is an extraordinary circumstance."
Feingold said filibuster is on the table too ("perfectly fine to ues the filibuster"), but hasn't said that Alito represents an extraordinary circumstance.

You can speak all you want, Sheets, but at some point you have to stand up and vote.

"I will filibuster." or "This nominee is an extraordinary circumstance." I think we all know what the Dems mean when they mention the word filibuster

If this is the best that the dems can put up, they must have given up the idea of a filibuster.

I've been listening, while doing some Christmas shopping on Amazon.
The filibuster fight is on IMO.
To: tiredoflaundry
I do believe he will soon keel over, right on the Senate floor.
Now feigning shock. Says he will "die" for the right to freedom of speech.
Yup, will happen soon I'm afraid.
