Mass. senators calling for Sec. Rumsfeld's resignation

-- If the Bay State senators could hang an ornament on the Pentagon Christmas tree, it would be pink.

A pink slip, that is, for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

Democratic Senators Edward Kennedy and John Kerry called for Rumsfeld's resignation last week, following a speech at John Hopkins University in which Rumsfeld defended the war in Iraq and critiqued the mainstream media's war coverage.

"We've arrived at a strange time in this country where the worst about America and our military seems to so quickly be taken as truth by the press," Rumsfeld said.

As an example, Rumsfeld later pointed to stories revealing a Pentagon program that reportedly paid a contractor to pay Iraqi newspapers to print positive stories about the U.S. effort in Iraq. The stories apparently were written by the contractors and published as news.

"That story has been pounded in the media," Rumsfeld said. "And the problem is the story goes out all over the world, over and over and over again. And we're still trying to find out what the facts are."

The senators, though, seemed more apt to believe the press than Rumsfeld.

"We need a fresh start at the Pentagon for the good of American troops, so brave Americans stop paying the terrible price of this defense secretary's mistakes," Kerry said.

They go way back. That is an actual photo. I have it as undated but it appears to be in the time period when Kerry was leading the protests.

He's on your right in this photo.

Ramsey Clark is now a defense lawyer for Saddam Hussein.

Does anyone besides Evan Lehmann care what these two losers say or think? A megalomaniacal drunk non-swimmer and a traitor.

Freepers call for the Resignation of the US Senators from Massachusetts. "A more morally corrupt, ineffective, treasonous pair could hardly be found anywhere in the USA. Surely the State of Massachusetts can do better then this pair of mentally incompetent dotards" stated one Freeper.

Well, I'm calling for the resignations of Kennedy and Kerry. See how effective that is? That is to say, not at all. LOL
