The TV report said that there is an odor but it is not the odor we normally smell (because the stink is added). The guy said it was something like the oven smells (???). Like I said before, the reporting is problematic around here.

It should either smell sweet or like rotten eggs if it is unprocessed natural gas. It is possible that it would be almost all really light ends and have no odor to speak of, except that which it picked up travelling in the sediments under the creek.

This could be either a natural seep or be leaking from either a feeder pipeline coming from a well or a well itself if the casing is bad.

If it does have the characteristic swamp cabbage stink, it is processed gas and from a distribution line.
