If this has was noticed on Friday, I have to wonder why an analysis hasn't been completed -- guess the scientific types don't work on the weekends.
I really am tempted to drive over there and have a look, but I imagine the area is probably jammed up with newsies and other curious types.
Latest from TV - verified that it is natural gas, source of natural gas unknown, not a leak from a pipe, no new geysers during the past day, no seismic activity in past two weeks, geysers aren't bubbling up/shooting up as high as earlier in the day so the situation may be stabilizing, amount of natural gas leaking is significant - however it would take a blow torch to ignite it (unless a geyser develops under your house).
