Watch for the MSM to search out that 1% and give the morning viewers another false impression

This is great news. All should wish the Iraqui people well.

Why does the lamestream media insist on calling the terrorists "insurgents"? The large majority of them aren't of Iraqui origin and the few who are tend to be motivated as much by financial gain as anything else?

Most likely, they'll continue to keep the dems focused on the 77% that want coalition forces out and over half that believe attacks are justified. It's the media that drives the dems, not vice versa.

the few who are tend to be motivated as much by financial gain as anything else?

And let's not forget the CENTCOM statement that was quickly dropped, ignored, and buried by the MSM.

Large numbers of the captees from the Sunni triangle are found to have opiates in their systems.

Not to mention that other one-time, one-shot story: younger Iraqi inductees into the "insurgency" are "abused" (ahem) by the older "foreign fighters."

Because by calling them "insurgents" the lamestream media are able to imply (and quite wrongly so) that it is the Iraqi people want us out of their country and we are the source of all the unrest there.

Wow! A great day for Iraq and America, and a terrible day for many Democrats and the MSM. Looks like another 403-3 vote coming up.

The (surviving) inhabitants of Third World countries have a finely-developed instinct about whose arse to kiss, in this case the pollsters'. I would have more faith this poll meant something if it reported, say, 65% likely voters.

A total of 77 percent of those surveyed oppose the presence of coalition forces in Iraq,

Yeah, and so does most of the world, including Americans. But did they ask when the coalition forces should leave? A large percentage would probably say when Iraqi forces can protect them.

They don't want to be an occupied country - and who can blame them? They hear the US MSM say that we are there just to get their oil. I don't blame them for having doubts.

90 percent of Iraqis want to vote in Dec. 15 national elections, according to an Iraqi poll.

This must include the 80% that want Americans out immediately and the 45% that say it is OK to kill Americans. /s

Almost 90 percent of Iraqis want to vote in Dec. 15 national elections, according to an Iraqi poll. A total of 89 percent of respondents to the poll indicated they want to vote in the election of a permanent democratic government.

The intent to vote is strong across ethnic and religious lines. The Kurds have the highest percentage, with 95 percent telling pollsters that they want to vote. Sunni Arabs have the lowest percentage, but that is still pegged at 87 percent. A total of 91 percent of Shiite Arabs, the largest religious group in the country, said they will vote.
