Its a shame that the greatest generation raised the worst generation.

The term "Greatest Generation" was coined by a guilt-ridden Baby Boomer.

IMHO, the true "Greatest Generation" was the World War One generation. That generation won World War One, struggled through the Great Depression and still managed to raise the geneartion that won World War Two.

The World War Two generation won World War Two but raised a generation of spoiled brats.

Actually they raised a generation whom they then sent to fight thier (bread and butter) war for them. During that war they sold out the young men fighting that war and turned their backs on them. They gave up and lost. It was their media trumpeting the kills and the peaceins.

Funny how the boomers are getting blamed for everything from the 60's to the next 30 years in the future.

And then there's the Revolutionary War generation. Broke from the mother country, waged war on a shoestring at times over a seven year period, built a nation, forged a constitution, molded a way of life.

Not bad for starters.

You're absolutely right. I stand corrected on the greatest generation.
