Thank goodness, this Tookie segment is over. Wallace was trying to get info out of both guests, but wasn't getting a whole lot of cooperation.

Graham: We should have had more troops. We didn't plan for the fall of Baghdad. We made tons of mistakes.

I often wonder how often quotes like these are from "RINO's", those who have gone off the reservation or those who are falling on their swords for the administration.

I think the latter happens often, especially if the office holder is in an essentially secure office. Graham would be that way. Even McCain is too. Too often he is embraced by the White House only to be seen later as be a traitor to the cause. Let's face it, GWB has no time or loyalty to those who get in his way, yet McCain is frequently embraced. If he's hacked the administration off that many times, then he wouldn't. Makes me think the administration plants some things through McCain, Graham and some others and let's them take the slings and arrows from the red meaters.

Graham says...

Blah...blahh...blah.

Graham is only saying what he thinks is in his best interest so that he can run as McCain's mate in '08. Too bad, because he has so much potential. He is in the process of throwing everything down the drain and wallowing in the cesspool with those who stand for nothing.

I know old sicko Tookie is getting the injection, but I'm wondering, if he were getting the chair, how long does it take to bake a Christmas Tookie?

Too many GOP senators are obsessed with being liked by the inside the beltway crowd.

It's the 'Turkish Delight' of Washington DC (apologies to Narnia).

The cashier at our Wal-Mart wished me a Merry Christmas AND a Happy Holidays.....covering all the bases.

I've been saying Merry Christmas to every clerk I've met before they've had the chance. All have been kind. Most have responded in kind by repeating my sentiments and few have just simply said behind a genial smile "thank you".

Wouldn't that be the most prudent way of handling this? Let those who have the faith initiate the greeting rather than becoming members of NAPPP (National Association of Perpetually Peeved People)

Ooops, forgot, there are agenda driven folks behind this and $$$ to be made doing it. Can't have a common sense solution to an agenda driven cause.

Albright: It's important to understand what was done with intelligence.

What, may I ask, was done with hers?

Nothing wrong for vying the media love, but it would be great if take the media to task & truth, like Rummy did.

Rummy took PBS to woodshed - Very interesting, read it all if you missed it.

Jim Lehrer : I looked at the public opinion polls the last, recent ones that mention you. And you don't come out very well in terms of the public. I couldn't find one where the public had approved of the job you were doing, less than 50 percent. Does that bother you?

Rummy: If you look where the news media is, it's down very low at the polls. If you want to get into public opinion polls, people in that business are right down near the bottom. You know that. Yeah, does it bother you? JIM LEHRER: They didn't expect 2,100 Americans to die. They didn't expect 16,000 to be wounded. Rummy: The number of people who have been killed in action in Iraq is 1,664. It's a lot. The number of people who have died over there are another 446. The number of people who have been wounded are 16,000. Of those, 8,500 went back in to their posts, back to duty within 48 or 72 hours. Now that's just a little refinement on what you said.

I was really shocked at Lindsay Graham today....I didn't realize he doesn't have a backbone anymore. He's turned into a Democrat...

Serenading Lindsey

Members of The Gridiron Club, whose members come from the ranks of the Washington press corps, past and present, put on a show recently that included performers portraying U.S. Sens. Hillary Clinton and Bill Frist introducing U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., by singing “Nothing Could Be Finer Than a Pal from Carolina in the Senate” to the tune of “Carolina in the Morning:”

——————————

Clinton: Nothing could be finer than a pal from Carolina in the Senate

If I had a backer like this Southern Graham cracker, I would win it.

Tried to impeach my William,

Argued with some heft.

Presently you all see him,

Frist: A-tilting to the left.

——————————

Clinton: It is very tender that a John McCain pretender is so fawning.

Those who say “don’t butter up” can kiss my little buttercup this morning.

When we got together on one little bill,

You got a name:

Frist: The Hillary shill

It would be a flub, Suh, if you snub your Southern bubbas. That’s a warning!

——————————

Clinton: Nothing can be slicker than a hick who can be quicker than his party.

Where is Lindsey coming from, this man who doesn’t vote like Strom? What a smarty!

Joined the Gang of Fourteen,

Like some Democrat.

“Delightful,” said my Howard Dean.

Frist: Conservatives said, “Drat!”

——————————

Clinton: He’s a little riddle who can fiddle down the middle when performing.

The wrong way he will rub ya if your name is George the W. It’s so warming.

When they used some torture, this former JAG,

He stopped it while saluting the flag.

What a blooming flower!

Frist: For the party out of power!

——————————

Chorus: Here’s Lindsey!

Tookie has had a 14 year grace period, and his bill is over-due. Time to pay up, Tookie.
