Your Mental Attitude - Inspiration

Whatever your life’s desire may be, it will rake on new significance and new appeal for you when that tremendously powerful force we term “inspiration” takes over command.

All great works of art . . . scientific advancements . . . business developments . . . man s modern conveniences.., elevation of our standard of living . . . greater social and civic freedoms resulted from individual and collective inspiration which devised
the necessary machinery to accomplish these ends.

This ‘message is inspired by a burning desire to kindle in your heart the spark of realization that you can achieve anything your mind conceives . . . if you’ll follow through on your creative imagination with intelligent effort.

Actually, there is very little difference between what you are now and what you would like to be. The very moment you add just a little plus value to what you already have,
you will move ahead of the crowd.

The $25,000.00-a-year man doesn’t need nor possess ten times the ability of the $2,500.00 a year man. As little as ten per cent edge often accounts for the difference. The answer lies in the fact that one man is inspired to do better, while the other drifts along in complacent satisfaction to be “just average.

General Pershing said: “America is a nation of peace loving people, but once inspired to defeat tyranny, we astound the world.” Production records during the last war did astound the world. These records were accomplished by an inspired people.

YOU will be amazed by the record you can make for yourself through inspiration
... plus a little perspiration.

The strength that lies within you, when properly stimulated by a desire to achieve certain goals, will create a new record for your acquisition of fine friendships . . . greater popularity and advancement . . . substantial and lasting success . . . security.

Right now you are better and smarter than you think you are! Determine this very minute what you want most out of life. Then start out after it! Claim your heritage!

Put your creative imagination to work. Make a definite decision to improve both the quantity and quality of your efforts, today. Arouse those slumbering talents
... accept only the very best life has to offer.

OBEY THAT IMPULSE .. . NOW!

“The manner in which one single ray of light, one single precious hint, will clarify and energize the whole mental life of him who receives it, is among the most wonderful
and heavenly of intellectual phenomena.”

Arnold Bennett

I AM proud! You've started! Now, as for tossing out....do you have stuff to pass on? Got enough duffles? If you haven't checked your FReepmail in the last couple hours, would you be so kind as to check for a forwarded message? Thx.

(Grin!) Our K1W1 troops in action! Goodonya mates! They make do on a shoestring, with clapped-out antique equipment to work with, and stuffence in their pay packet, yet they still find a way to make us all proud!

Our NZ Government underpays and under-funds our Armed Forces, and it is scandalous. As a Civilian tax-payer I am Royally P*ssed Off at our spending priorities: we seem quite happy to spend a fortune paying Government TV newsreader "Personalities", and yet we balk at paying our troops a decent wage. This is wrong, and foolish, and shortsighted.

Merry Christmas, mates -- wherever you are serving. God's Blessing on you, and may He keep you and your families warm and safe. New Zealand sleeps safely at night thanks to you. My Family are grateful for your service.

Tabark Abdul Rahman recovers at the Abu Ghraib medical facility, after being treated for pneumonia. U.S. Army photo by Sgt. 1st Class Carolanne Diggs

Doctors Give Iraqi Baby New Lease on Life

Doctors at the Abu Ghraib hospital, and a very long-distance phone call, helped diagnose and treat a very sick four-month-old baby.

By U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Carolanne Diggs Multinational Force-Iraq

ABU GHRAIB, Iraq, Dec. 7, 2005 — Four-month-old Tabark Abdul Rahman, known as Tabitha to the Abu Ghraib medical staff, was given a grim prognosis on life.

When she arrived at the Abu Ghraib hospital she was malnourished, dehydrated, in renal (kidney) distress, was suffering from diarrhea and had a bad cough. X-rays showed she had pneumonia. After two months in and out of Baghdad Children's Hospital, Iraqi doctors sent her home to die.

Tabitha's father, Abdul Rahman, couldn't accept that his 4-month-old daughter was going to die, so he approached coalition forces for help.

Rahman, a translator with the 306th Military Police Battalion, and a soldier approached Maj. (Dr.) Brad Wenstrup, chief of surgery, asked if he could look at his ill daughter. He presented lab work and a hand-written summary of the child's condition from a doctor at Baghdad Children's Hospital.

The rest of the story

Thanks to the Kiwis for being our allies.

Sadly, we have some of the same issues about who should be held in higher esteem. God bless and keep safe your troops, as well as ours.

AMEN! Amen. God Bless America, and all those who serve Ol' Glory.

(How do you do that nifty flag thing in your messages -- the one with Ol' Glory flapping beside our National Ensign? I'm probably a bit stupid when it comes to computers, dunno. But it sure is a neat trick all the same!)

,,, Kathy, how are ya? That photo in post 37 makes me want to put a jacket on, even though I'm sitting here in a Hawaiian floral shirt, with the fan running. I hope your Christmas is a real goodie!

Shaggy...g'day Kiwi!! Doing well. The weather is the pits...above freezing for several days, with high winds. Lots of heavy duty melting, and ice everywhere. Hope all is well with your little ones.

,,, never better, thanx Kathy. We've got it quite hot, then there's showers and it's steamy - on and off. At least there won't be water shortages, at this point anyway.

You are welcome. Shouldn't take long to catch on. Questions? Ask anybody. All will help.

By the way, DieHard, have you met Shaggy Eel? He's a Kiwi too.

Shaggy, meet DieHard.

All is well except the weather. The cold has gone south. Record high temps....up to almost 50, and high winds. All the snow has melted off our "flocked" trees. I live on a cul-de-sac and it is ice from curb to curb. The neighboorhood streets are slip n slid, altho the main roads are just sloppy wet, and down to clean pavement. I HATE IT!! It is winter, ya know.

Shaggy Eel is in Wellington, I'm in Waitakere City (west of Auckland). Both on North Island.

Business takes me to Wellington fairly frequently. One day, we'll get together for a brew or three and exchange notes...
