Recently, Hardball with Chris Matthews has done a nightly segment called "Ending the War". The segment usually features one Republican and one left-wing Democrat to discuss how the war is going, the intelligence leading up to the War, and how the US can get out. On Thursday night's Hardball, Matthews said the following:
MATTHEWS: Did youwhen you look back on the Vietnam War, if you rememberthey used to have votes all the time in the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House. Theyd have the Cooper-Church Amendment, there would be another amendment being offered at different times. You know, Mark Hathid (ph) always had an amendment to try to return the troops. How come were not saying these test votes? I dont understand it. If theres a dispute over whether to come relatively soon, like Murtha said so, and the president says, stay until the job gets done, how come we dont see this coming to a vote ever?
Perhaps it was a slip of the mind, but there was a "test vote" last month. On Novemeber 17, House Republicans entered a resolution that would pull US troops out of Iraq.
The bill failed miserably.
I used to watch Hardball, but since 2001 or so he has gone completely off the rails. He's a miserable person who thinks he's an insider but obviously is not. And if I heard about his damned time in the Peace Corps one more time I'd have exploded.
Nobody watches his stupid show anyway, except for a marginalized tiny group of DUmmies.
Well, why not have a vote every week and keep the Rats on the run?
During the Clinton years, some here thought he was a liberal, but somewhat fair. I never hear that anymore.
This is not a slip of the mind on the Yellow Moonbat's part. It is denial. It is not HIS reality, so it never happened, and if it failed, simply don't talk about it, just suggest that it happen again. Wacky is as wacky does. Go ahead and try again. Definition of insanity: Keep doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. Matthews reminds me of the bored & pschotic Polar Bear at the zoo, pacing, pacing, pacing, repetitive motion.
I watch him to see how many skewed assumptions and flat-out lies he can cram into an hour. His show is now totally delusional... the DNC hack-journalists he drags on even look at him like he's nuts.
One who talks too much and listens too little.
Let have a vote every month until the next election(roll call vote)so we the voters know who not to vote for.
That would require the Dems to actually stop whining and perform some legislating. I think they've forgotten how.
Abraham Lincoln knew Chris Matthews?
Harball for Republicans. Beachball for Democrats.
Let's have one every day, so Democrats can repudiate the stuff they said the night before on TV.
..Hardball is a perfect description of his head--tightly wound with a cork in the middle...
Little Chrissy is suffering from dementia ~ is he into the cooking sherry?
It's easy to look fair when you're throwing softballs at your friends, as opposed to other members of the media who were volunteering to put on presidential knee-pads.
