ok, let's try this again. Please read this article to learn the real story about this family and the situation.

This family is a family of patriots and have repeatedly stated in interview that they do not wish for this to become "political." It is disappointing that this forum has taken the media's bait by doubting the story, the family, and even their truth - which is that their son was going to arrive at Lindburgh field with 1 soldier as an escort and then be forklifted onto a luggage cart.
They could easily have said "we got ours, we don't want to help anyone else because we are in mourning" but instead they are trying to help others. That is what the military and US does, right?
Hi jilly!
Welcome back!
I'd read about them, and I knew his parents were both former military.
I think it is awful for the DoD to send our fallen warriors back that way. Makes me sick. If someone can give their life for our country, willingly, the least we can do for them and their family is make sure they are shown the respect they deserve, are honored properly, and laid to rest with all the dignity they've earned.
I'm glad you came back, I hope you stick around and read and share your ideas.
Sometimes its good to take a deep breath before posting.
Welcome to FR.
