I always have that one handy! "Basic Economics" by Thomas Sowell, is also excellent. I'm reading it now.
It is funny how 'govt solutions to govt problems' still find a way to sell to the masses.
My analogy: Liberal/socialist economic policies are like a VD: Easy to contract, and sometimes they may even seem attractive. But they cause more damage than good and are next to impossible to get rid of!
I find that one is a good crowd pleaser (among the right crowd), people laugh and that alone usually shuts the lefties up! ;-)
How about the other one, "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help."
That one always gets laughs.
Or: "Government is like a cheap used car. It seems like a good deal when you buy it, but eventually it costs you more than you anticipated, and you end up riding the bus as often as not."
