"Globalization failing to create new, quality jobs or reduce poverty" It was never intended to do any of those things, its all about consolidation of power and getting rid of the pesky middle class that stands in the way of tyranny

Amazing that only in America has economic growth translated into personal wealth growth in the last century now with free trade that is all being shot to hell too. Greed corrupts and absolute greed corrupts absolutely.

its all about consolidation of power and getting rid of the pesky middle class that stands in the way of tyranny No. It's about freedom.
A major source of objection to a free economy is precisely that group thinks they ought to want. Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.
~ Milton Friedman
You should spend a little time reviewing The Heritage Foundation's Index of Economic Freedom. It clearly proves that countries with the most economic freedom also have higher rates of long-term economic growth and are more prosperous than are those with less economic freedom. There is a direct correlation between economic freedom (the ability to trade freely) and per-capita GDP.
Tyranny thrives in societies where the citizen's freedoms are restricted. Willing buyers and sellers coming together to conduct business is one of the most basic freedoms. The fact that some people believe government should restrict this freedom (to protect freedom), so that government can't consolidate power, is comical.

some areas of Asia economic expansion is fostering solid growth in jobs and improvements in living conditions, other areas such as Africa and parts of Latin America are seeing increasing numbers of people working in less favorable conditions, especially in the agricultural sector. Asia, Europe, and North America have improved under globalization. Africa and south america have suffered because of socializism, not globalization.

It was never intended to do any of those things So far so good. However, it is intended to extend the legal regime of the modern American corporation.
