She is so preoccupied....she is probably thinking of all those cookies and that hot chocolate back at the house. She is just not paying attention! I found the perfect tree before she did this time! :o)

He left for Iraq in September so it hasn't been as bad this time as it could have been - and most certainly will be the next time. This time he met his unit (already there) in mid-deployment.

Will do. Our soldiers never tire of hearing that they are supported and appreciated - and prayed for. And they most certainly don't understand the anti-war sentiment in this country. :-/

Not hardly....just watched more "Food Network"!:) Stack fresh basil leaves....roll into a tight lil bundle & slice thin. When you fluff them they make basil strands. A pretty garnish & it tastes fresh too!

"It's A Wonderful Life" was on tonight. I never miss it.

Genre:  Latin Jazz

Artist/s:  Poncho Sanchez

Song Title:  Icon

Translation:  Icon

( Poncho is the conga player and leader of the band.  He has two sons.  One is named "Mongo" in tribute to Mongo Santamaria.  The other is named "Tito" in tribute to Tito Puente. )

General Theme:  Instrumental

This is going to be my "intro" song each week just to get the "Descarga," ( "Unload" or "Jam Session," ) started.

Side Note:  I won't be translating entire songs.  I simply don't have the time.

Oh Luv,

That first peek at the one is so exciting.

Raises goose bumps every time. It makes me feel like I am 8 again.

That was the year Poppa came across the walnut tree.

I couldn't believe he climbed it. Just wrapped his big strong thighs and arms around it and up he went.

I was awed. Shoot, I always had to jump for the lowest branch and thread my way up from branch to branch.

He got way up there and then stomped the branches. Now I knew what the burlap sack was for, and no wonder old gloves, never the new pair. They sure were shot.

Thanks for the Hanky Ms. B..

I think this really is the one.
