Certainly a fence will do no good if you allow people to climb over it or cut holes in it , A good fence has to be backed up by a good guard on that fence and laws with some bite in them when people cross over.

As for Tancredo he might be promoting himself, but he isnt all wrong either.

There is an important lesson here, boys and girls, and, it`s if you want to get something done, you have to be able to turn down the volume and be willing to work with others.

One thing I have noticed those opposed to any barriers include Jeff Flake, Jim Kolbe, John Cornyn and George Bush, all supporters of keeping the cheap labor gravy train a rollin' by way of guest worker schemes. More proof, as if any was needed that anything those characters say about wanting to control the borders is nothing but lip service.

No now is not the time for Tancredo to shut up, more than ever we need him to speak out and keep us informed so they don't try to sneak any amnesty provisions through. In case you're unaware, history has proven everytime we get immigration "reform" they end up massively increasing it instead of getting it under control.

Fence or no fence. Observe that Mexico is no swammed by USA citizens illegally immigrating to Mexico.

Why?

Well, does Mexico offer free, instant citizenship to preggie Moms who can waddle across the border and poop out a baby in a Mexican hospital, paid by Mexican taxpayers?

Does Mexico offer financial freebies to illegals like the USA does?

Does Mexico never seriously enforce it's own immigration laws ala USA?

Does Mexico have "sanctuary cities" for illegals like the USA does?

Basically folks, if you put out fresh meat, flies will be attracted.

A fence beats nothing or worse yet, amnesties, but it's eliminating the other freebies that has to be done to solve the problem.

That and maybe deport all caught to the tip of South America instead of just back across the border (preg women & children excepted...just send them home).

Realistically though, we are just flapping our gums here. Neither major political party wants to offend the Mexican and illegal voting populations.

Interesting to see what name you are using (I agree) and remember the immigration laws he signed.
As so far as an amnesty program, unless every illegal is dragged to the border and thrown over the fence, there will be some procedure that will allow some to stay. That`s the real world and Tommy boy knows that.(and the fund raising letters will keep coming)

Start building the fence.

It should be made a felony for Criminals who overstay their visas and Invaders.

I believe we should give amnesty to these poor CRIMINALS or INVADERS.
This should be a 2 week amnesty to get the heck out of our Country.
The ones who ignore this amnesty should be buried in a tent city jail and fined $10,000 or buried elsewhere.
All aiders and abettors of these CRIMINALS or INVADERS should get 1 year in a tent city jail and a $10,000 fine for each CRIMINAL aided.
Those in government should be the first ones charged.
